The point of this site

mm-motionpictures.com is published by MM Motion Pictures, a film crew placed in Manchester, England. Its purpose is to describe the four kinds of film we make, how a shoot day runs, what is delivered, and to let you send us a brief. Reading it and using the form is free and asks nothing of you beyond ordinary good conduct.

A brief is an enquiry

Sending the plan-a-film form, or writing to [email protected], is an enquiry. It is not an order, it does not hold a date and it does not create a contract between us. A job exists only when we have sent you a written quote and shot list and you have accepted them in writing. Until then either of us can walk away with nothing owed.

Acceptable use

Reading the site, linking to it and quoting a short passage with a mention of where it came from are all fine. You may not use the form to send anything unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading; may not attempt to interfere with the site, the relay service that delivers the form or the hosting it sits on; and may not scrape the site's text or images for republication or for training systems that generate text or images.

What belongs to whom

The words on this site, the shot-list structure of its pages and the name MM Motion Pictures are ours. The photographs are used under the licences listed in the credits below and remain the work of the people named there. Films we make for you belong to you on settlement of the final invoice, as described on the what-you-get page; nothing on this site changes that.

Accuracy and limits

We keep the site accurate and change it when the way we work changes, but it is a description, not a promise: lengths, day counts and turnaround are the usual figures, and the quote for your job is the figure that counts. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss that comes from relying on what the site says, from the site being unavailable, or from what the third-party font and form-relay services it uses may do. Nothing in these terms restricts any liability the law does not allow to be restricted.

Governing law

These terms, and any disagreement about the site, fall under the law of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may change these terms by publishing a new version here with a new date. The version on the site on the day you use it is the one that applies.
