Who this covers
This notice describes how MM Motion Pictures, a film crew placed in Manchester, England, handles information on the website at mm-motionpictures.com. It applies to anyone who reads the site, sends the enquiry form or writes to the bookings address. It does not cover anything that happens on a shoot day, which is agreed separately in writing before we come.
The enquiry form
The plan-a-film form asks for your name, an email address, your company and what it makes, the kind of film you have in mind, the town the site is in, and a message. Sending it does one thing: the entries are passed to a form-relay service called FormSubmit, which turns them into an email and delivers that email to [email protected]. The relay holds the message only for as long as delivery takes. We use what you sent to reply to you, and for nothing else; you are never added to a mailing list because you asked a question.
The form also carries an empty field that ordinary visitors never see. Automated scripts fill it in; a message with that field filled is discarded. This is the only anti-spam measure on the site and it involves no tracking.
Mail sent to the bookings address stays in an ordinary mailbox while the enquiry is open, and for a while after a job finishes so that a return visit or a re-cut can refer back to it. Once a thread is clearly closed, it is deleted.
Cookies and the one preference
When the site first opens, a small card asks if you are happy for analytics and performance measurement to run. Your answer is written as a single entry in your browser's local storage under the name mmp_consent_v1, so the card does not appear again on that browser. That entry is the only thing this site writes to your device.
Here is the truthful position: no analytics and no advertising scripts are installed on this site at all. Nothing reads the preference today. It exists so that if measurement is ever added, it can respect a choice you have already made rather than ask again. No cookie is set by the site itself, and it loads no tag manager, no pixel and no chat widget. Each page makes exactly one request to an outside service: the two typefaces, fetched from a public font service. Like any web request, that one carries your address to the font service; nothing comes back to us from it.
No sale, no sharing
Nothing about visitors is sold, rented or traded, and enquiries are not shared with anyone outside the crew unless you ask us to introduce you to someone.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, data protection law gives you the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy in a form you can take elsewhere, and to object to its use. If you live in California, you can ask what has been collected, ask for its deletion, opt out of a sale (nothing is sold), and expect the same service whether or not you use those rights. In every case the way to exercise a right is the same: write to [email protected] and say what you want. We answer within a month, and usually much sooner, because the total amount we hold about any one person is small.
Changes
